16           EWAN'S ADVENT MESSAGE: Mum took us to have our Christmas hair cut today. What’s that all about? I may only have seen one Christmas in life but I do know it’s not about short hair. Boy, has mum got it wrong there, big time. Christmas is all about presents, Jesus and Santa. Have you seen Jesus’ and Santa’s hair. Short and neat is not their style.

17           GEORGE'S ADVENT MESSAGE:   Got excited today. Thought Christmas had come all in one day. Almost before I was awake, Mamma and Grandad visited. Then, Nanny and grandad came. “Bring on the presents.” I laughed excitedly. But they didn’t. It ended up another Saturday of me keeping tabs on dad. But I had help from nanny and grandad which made it easier. As it was Saturday mum went out on a jolly for the day, AGAIN.

When I was a lad at school around 13 years old, our Maths teacher used to call me Wol. At the end of the year as we were moving up a class I plucked up courage to ask why he called me Wol. He told meit was thename of the deslexic owl in Winnie the Pooh. With my Harry Potter glasses he said I looked like the Wise Old Owl in the Winnie the Pooh stories.

Being the vain person I am I took it as a compliment
